What we collect
We only collect personal information that you choose to give us, or that your browser shares when you visit the site:
- Enquiry details: when you call, email or use our enquiry form, we receive your name, phone number, email address, the address or postcode of the job and a description of the work you need. Details sent through our enquiry form are delivered to us through Wix Forms and stored in our Wix account.
- Website usage: only if you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how the site is used, such as the pages viewed, the device and browser type, the approximate location and whether a call or email link was tapped. Phone numbers and email addresses are masked before anything is recorded.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, visit or discuss the job, and give you a quote. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To carry out work you have agreed to and to invoice for it. The lawful basis is performing our contract with you.
- To keep the business records the law requires, such as accounts and VAT records. The lawful basis is our legal obligations.
- To understand how the website is used so we can improve it, only with your consent to analytics cookies. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We only share information with services that help us run the business and this website:
- Wix, which hosts this website, its images and videos, and stores the enquiries sent through our form.
- Google, for Google Analytics (only with your consent), the map in our footer and the fonts used on the site. Google may process data in the United States under the UK–US data bridge and its standard safeguards.
- Elfsight, which displays our Google reviews on the home page.
- Our email provider, accountant and HMRC where needed for the business records described above.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. If you become a customer, we keep the records connected with your job for as long as the law requires for business and tax records. Analytics data is kept by Google for the retention period set on our Google Analytics account.
